Binary Conversion Tool

The box below will allow input of any base 10 integer, where an integer is a positive or negative whole number. (Please do not enter a value exceeding 9e20, because integers over this size will have only the first digit considered). Base 10 describes the number system that is comprised of ten digits. This is, of course, our normal number system, containing the ten digits 0-9. The difference between base 10 and binary is the number of available digits—binary has two where base 10 has ten.

After entering your number of choice, clicking the “convert” button will translate that number into binary with the first binary digit signifying the sign of the value. Positive values start with 0, and negative values start with 1!
